With their pronounced grain, high-quality veneers are ideal for projects in which the grain remains visible and is used as a design element. In yacht building, for example, a high level of craftsmanship and top veneer quality are expected, so that errors and expensive material waste must be minimized.

The right machines for high-quality processing

As very expensive and exclusive woods are often used in superyachts, special care must be taken during processing. For example, optimum fine adjustment is essential for veneer processing.

The machines must be strong enough to produce good joints, but must not exert too much pressure so as not to damage the veneer. Unsuitable splicing machines can cause cracks and breaks in the grain, resulting in unnecessary and costly waste.
